Lately this adjective has been on my mind. As I have been struggling to find God's direction in my life and sometimes feeling like things are happening slower than I expected or desire, I remember this adjective because of one of my favorite verses in the Bible, Romans 5:3-4 "We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation". When I get down on myself because things aren't going the way I would like I remember that God uses every trial to strengthen my character so that I will be ready when He see's I am ready for His next step. Chosing to trust God because you've seen He is faithful can be hard during dry times but I know that Satan just wants me to give up, and definately has been manipulating my mind with things I wouldn't have seen if I wasn't constantly relying on His Holy Spirit to renew my mind everyday. These last few years God has been "refining" me through what i would see as "fire". There have been so many times I have wanted to throw my hands up and run away from His call and He has been so faithful to pursue me and feel me with His Spirit and wisdom to keep moving forward.
